Hot water

Post by Searcher »

What about stinking icelandic hot water? Is it fit to fish tank? I have heard opinions, it is ok... but when I smell that... I am not sure:)

What you think?

It's perfectly fine. I take my water from the faucet at tank temperature during waterchanges. And so do most people I know.

there is nothing wrong with the hot water, even though it stinks, hehe :D But just dont put too hot water in the tank. Around 25 - 26 degrees is perfect. But it depends if you have coldwater (goldfish) fishes or hotwater fishes (cichlids)

Bottom line is that the hot water from the tap is fine for the fishes.
